German extraterrestial phyisics had descovered a proof of a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy thanks to a 16 year long study made in Chile an recollecting statistics from telescopes.
The long study delivered the astronomers a empirical and undoubtable proof that super massive blackholes really do exist. It also enabled the astronomers to calculate the distance from the Earth to the center of our galaxy mesured to be about 27.000 light years, what would be like seeing a euro coin from 10.000km distance.
Genzel, the german astronomer from bavarian Max-Planck insitute for extraterrestral phisics said the center of the galaxy was a "unique laboratory" for the study of the strong gravity, stellar dynamics and star formation with a level of detail "never possible beyond our galaxy."

Auto bailout bill dies in Senate (II)
The whole world is passing a bad time because of crisis. Anyway, In the US the crisis more than everywhere else affects the automobilistic industry. Companies like general motoros or Dymler Chrysler in Detroit are having big problems and Ford also is getting problems to avoid a crisis when the other two companies already are failing.
Today, the Senate decided to refuse the bailoutbill for these dying companies. The states have a 700$ financial help given by the state, but the white house such as the senate refused. It is to concider that this refusal could mean the closure because of the bankrupcy of these firms.
The senate democrats and the white house failed to find the 60 votes to end the debate to get $14 Billion bailout. It was an attempt to save the auto companies between the democrates and the republicans.
Anyway, the presindent announced that if the Congress woulkdn't do something to help Detroit where the main industries are situated and a important percentatge of the living people are working for these companie, the White House would income and do something to resolve the automobilistic crisis.

Russian Crisis
ALL EYES ON RUSSIA
Justo like Europe and the states, Russia also is getting great problem with their economy but the now prime minister VladimirPutin is reassuring that times will get better and he just spreds optimism and says that the relations between America and Russia will get better, having now Obama as president.
Very important in this interview is that Putim himself was in the hotseat and not is successor Medwedew. As so, Putin had to answer a lot of questions in order to assure a secure life and optimistic prospects on future!

Computers
Do the computers really make the world a better place?
It's not a secret that computers actually help us a lot and satisfy a lot of our needs. Thanks to computers we are able to communicate faster and better with family and friends who live far away from us and whom we can't see often a year. But thats not everything. Computers help us to improve and make better our work, they help us by doing difficult calculations, predictions and help us to rebuild or reconstruct situations that could be dangerous or not. Thanks to computers, we actually also read more! For instance, people who are using msn messenger or chat programmes, or just the ones who are reading are obliged to read if they want to know something! So We actually spend the whole day reading if we are using the pc.
Anyway, computers actually were made for military uses. So, pc's actually should calculate distances and probabilities. Internet was also a military tool now used by a high percentage of people day after day and just for fun.
It's also a platform for meeting people. Not only good people... and so we can find cannibalism and children pornography or other disgusting or disturbing things not suitable for children.
In conclusion, we can say that computers make a lot of things easier for everyone, and that they are perhaps the best way to communicate with your friends and family or new people, but its also a place were you can find the most disturbing things you can't even imagine. Like everything, also computers have their good and bad things but it's useless to just center in one of these parts. To know the whole, you must focus on every part of it.

NEWS II
Magician David Blaine ends latest stunt
David Blane, a well known US American magician finished his latest stunt: hanging without a net under him 60hours over the Central Park.
He smiled nearly all the time and described the rush of blood running in his head, as a feeling like his head was exploding
But perhaps the most curious thing was showen in a ABC special made called David Blane:Dive of Death where the television showed an older stund in which he catched a 22 caliber bullet with a metal cup in his mouth.
David Blane is more that just famous for is riskous stunt, which he makes atleast once a year, if not twice.
Another very known magician is Criss Angel, shown once a week at night on MTV showing a copilation of his most famous stunts.
David Blane was last seen how he spent thirty days inside a glass box laying in the air, or getting buried in a ice tomb.

Polar bears resort to cannibalism as Arctic ice shrinks
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/TECH/09/23/arctic.ice/index.html
These news talk about the ice dwindle in the arctic sea. The climate change are having such an impact that the ice surfice is deacrising or has already decreased 40% in the last 30 years. That suppose a lot of global problems. First of all, the fact the the ice is decreasing that much menas that the rain cicle will change. In northern USA for instance, it will rain less but the rain fall will be heavier. In Europe but, it will rain more frequently, like in the mediterranean area.
But on the other size, this huge Ice surface reflects solar radiation and keeps the world cooler but without the ice, the water will heat up and it will get warmer everywere.
A good way to notice that is the behaviour of a autochthonous species living there: The polar bear. They depend on that ice, living on it. But as the ice surface shrinks, it can't stay the weight of the polar bear, it breaks, and because of that the polar bear even drownes. But they also have huge problems to get food huntign other species. For that, the last resort they have is cannibalism, something observed first in 2004 when a male broke into a female den and killed her.
To change that, we have to change our behaviour, our culture, our lifestyle. At the and, our life also depends on whats happening so far away at the top of the northern hemisphere.

Self evaluation
So... The year is nearly over, and people are getting nervous and excited about the selectivitat exams and their university joins.
After all but, we can't forget our dear portfolio so, here goes my self evaluation.
After all I would give not more than a 7/10
I'm not a good student, very lazy and so i think this mark is more than a exageration but afterall, i must admit that i am perfectly able to converse in english without no problems at all, and so thats what english wants us to learn: english
Anyway... i think i worked harder this term so i think a 7 is a good mark (ok, i desire more but i'm selfcritical).
So Lourdes... and of course Sonia too:
YOU CHOOSE ^___^

3- Life in the Jane Austen's times (bonus material)
Comment on some differences that caught your attention.
Jane Austen is the author of Pride and Prejudice. She lived during 18th century.
The most impacting thing is that she used to hide for writing because she didn't wanted to be seen, yet in her eyes it was not a good thing to do.
something not strange for the era but for our society is that she had to marry a man she didn't like at all. The search of real love and the fact that she had to marry as she didn't wanted influenced deeply in her writing.

William and his wife Haweis built a small moated castle at Groombridge, and, later that year, were granted a charter by Henry III of England to build a chantry. When William died in 1261, lordship was granted to Henry de Cobham, 1st Baron Cobham, heir of the influential Kentish family, the de Cobhams.

Dear Minister
I am an A-level pupil and deeply concerned about how people are chasing water, a pressues tresure we must kees as lons as we can.
There are a lot of people who are chasing water like their money just because have this good. They do not pull it off while brushing their teeth or they just think it's necessary to rain theur gardens with as many liters of water as they can, and thats something we ust stop. Wasting water perhaps is not a big deal now, but it will grow just like our children do.
First of all we could srtart with campains either on tv or in schools to rause and educate not just chiuldren but everyone. Showing concequences is a good way to show them they're wrong. With higher taxes and water prices people would also learn to not waste water.
Furthermore, the government should handle a solution like salt cleaning machines that desalt sea water and make it drinkable- It would cost a lot of money but with hihger taxes and sanctions for abusing water use, there als0 would be a captial bringing idea.
Its all in your hands, and I hope thinks may change from now on.
Yours faithfully

video news!!
Video news I:
http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2008/04/07/in.session.monday.cnn
The first news was about people who wear t-shirts with a sort of offensive thing written on it (like Yankees Sucks) and a laterly apeared woman who wears and sells t-shirt with a written on it it saying "I was raped".
The woman had been raped not so long ago and her psycologist told her that this is something she should talk about, and manifest, what she finally had done with her shirts.
Its an issue of controversity, but its just fair to wear t-shirts like those. For something freedom of speech exists.
In my eyes its a good thing she did if she can handle the things that happened better that way.
Video News II
http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2008/04/04/grace.meth.baby.cnn?iref=videosearch
This time it's about a mother who accidentally gave her 3-month old baby crystal meth with the normal formula. The baby afetr half an hour started shacking and rolling eyes and immediatly was brought to the next hospital. The baby was bleeding inside.
The 3-month old baby boy is now in hand of human services.
Cursious about it is that the mother actually was broke and had no money for anything, anyway she had meth at home.
The mother was arrested.

Tattoo body art
This article is about the tattoist reunion in Derby which is celebrated there every year. This convention starts 21st till 22nd july. The best tattoo artist go there and take part on prestigious competitions. tattoos do hurt less or more depending were their are done.
Some people just like them, others want to express their innerselfs and others just want to shock other people, so as you see, reasons for tattoos may vary ;)
My opinion about this article is that its great. I love tattoos and want myself to have some ^^ I would really enjoy going there and see the convention at least once in my life ^^
Siguatepeque :DDDD
Description of a place.
It's the most beautyfull place i've seen on earth. I still remember it pretty well from when I went the the last time. My uncle lives there together with his family near a big forest on the top of the mountains. They have a lot of coffee plants there as well as banana trees and several other fruit plants. Further you can hear water splashing from a big waterfall were a lot of birds fly around, in all the colours you can imagine. The flowers that grow there as enourmous and have all the colors of a rainbow, and indue to there is a waterfall you also can see rainbows. The trees are big and old and their tops hide the sun, so you actually can't see it that well, but some rays pass between the leaves and gives light. There are also a lot of animals that live free there. On a good day, you not only can see the fishes in the river and the birds flying over you, but also does and stags running free, and if you are really lucky you'd probably see a wolf hunting rabbits through the forests. The winds just blow through your hair and you can actually hear the wind, like it would sing. The leaves just move like their are dancing for you.
Beeing there makes me feel free, and more. It makes me recover completly from the stress I have when i'm at school or home. Everything seems ridiculous beeing there. It's like patience and grace at one place were you don't have to think about nothing. You just can start fishing, leaving you horse next to the tree and lie down for a while hugging your dog.
It's the most beautyfull place on the earth, and I hope that it lasts forever, just like the feeling i have when i'm there :D

An Inconveniant Truth
1.- Watch the trailer of the film
1.1.- What was the first impact of the film on you?
1.2.- What didn't you know about global warming that you learnt from the film and surprised you?
2.- How can we take action? Choose 5 ideas
3.- Are you ready to change your lifestyle?
_______________________________________________________________
1.1.- The first impact of the film on me was scaring. It made me feel very frightenend of our future and what it may bring to us if we don't change fastly some habits we've got. Actually, the thing that scared me thge most was the massive dying of so many species. It's a shame that polar bears for example die as they do by drowning just because the ice isn't thick enough.
1.2.- I knew that one of the cuases of global warming was the CO2 emission and the greenhouse effect, which is a consequence of the warmth that are kept in the atmosphere as well as I knew that within the last years the temperature increased outstanding because of the greenhouse effect. But i didn't knew the rest of the facts that Al Gore explained in his film. He actually explained better in what all the things are happening consists and even if it first of all devasted me and, as i think the other viewers, it also gave us hope. He showed us that we can change eberything and that it isn't too late yet. Tha consequences that id'll have if we don't change our lifgestyles surprised me a lot, and again it terrified me.
3.- I think, it doesn't matter if we are ready to change our lifestyle or not: We have to do this, and we have to do it as soon as possible.
It looks like that: We live on our planet earth, which is not only ours but also the animals one. everyone just things about the money but not were it comes from and without the earth we won't have the money that everyone loves (as it looks like) more than the earth. But what can we do with all the money if we're dead? nothing at all, thats how it looks like. We have to work together, change our lifes to make them better and to live longer on this planet. It's our duty to conserve the earth and "to repair" the damage we've done to it.

the news
From the Austin Chronicles:
http://www.austinchronicle.com/gyrobase/Issue/story?oid=oid%3A269761
This article talks about a new documentary abou heavy metal, in particular, blackmatal, theperhaps most dark and brutal genre in metal. Its central point is the relationship between the music and satanism and how it evolved in the last years, and what satanism mean for each artist.
furthermore, it also talks about some of the most cruel things happend in this sceen like for exemple, de dead of the Mayhem guitarrist Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth, killed by the same man who burned several churches to "save Norway from Christianty and lead them back to the pagan roots: Varg Vikernes, who leaded the one man project Burzum.
It really interesting if you are into metal without any kind of prejudices.

6.- "Children are not properly raised by their parents today" (a little more than 100 words ;))
Perhaps one of the biggest problemas society today has, are its own children, the future of the world. Whats going on in the world with all its parents and it's children? Obviously something is going very wrong. It's a big issue the parents themselfs, the teachers and even de government has to deal with.
Lots of kids doesn't go anymore to school, they commit crimes and do everything they shouldn't. The main guilties are the parents, at least so is said. In the most cases this kids do the way they do because of familiar antecedents: at home something is going really wrong so the kid had to live his hole live with this, and acts like he was told to at home: badly. Anyway, there are also parents who don't have the time to raise their children, so they start acting like they want, behaving bad and, as I think, disrespectful to teachers and other school mates.
Are they any solutions for this? Actually they should be there even if we don't see them. Parents should raise their children, not the school. And of course there should exist some programs for families with social problems such as poverty, violence at home and similars. It would be a nice thing if at school the teachers observe and notice if something's going bad with one of its pupils, such as there should be more psycologists at school to attend the kids. Perhaps they can't talk with familiars or friends about problems.
So, finally, we can see that everything could go better if parents, teachers and government work together, not against each other. Think that we're talking about the future of this world, and they should be raised well, shouldn't they?
