Hello guys,
So, we had to choose an advert and comment it. We chose a one of Virgin Atlantic Airlines which we considered really funny and interesting. It had lots of things to comment about like music, colors and the feelings that we develope while watching this advert just like happiness or compassion.
The commercial tells a story about a man who travels and falls asleep next to a obese man he does not know. He starts dreaming wired things, but just take a look yourself on the video.




The target audience are people who need to travel a lot, specially to places which are quite far away. The feelin or modd you get while watching the advert is, on the one hand, the disgusting feeling of travelling near someone you don't know and who falls asleep next to you. On the other side, you get a feeling of happiness when you're in love.
The advert is attractive, because it's quite a different way of presebting a product, it also shows a very attractive and new way of flying. It is also quite influential because it catches your attention.

SOUND AND MUSIC:

The music is lovely and it works sublime and ironic on te human psych. The artists are the Bee Gees with How deep is your love, in the end you listen the typical Virgin atlantic Jingler either. The pace is slowly and keeps slowly the hole commercial on just until the end when it stops and silence starts as the dreamer wakes up and takes alook on the cruel reality of his life.

SYMBOLS, LOGOS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS:

The advert doesn't have any special effects, but it has loads of bright and shiny colours. These colours are used to create this feeling of happiness during the commercial . The feeling you get when you are deeply in love. But in the end, the colours shown are dark, because they show the end of the man's dream and, at the same time, the real life.
At the end the logo of Virgin Atlantic Airlines appears in black letters on a white underground.

PEOPLE AND ACTIONS:

The only group represented is the the young man and the obese one during the hole commercial. At the end of the dream they stay infront of a reverent who wants to marry them. It tries mainly to show you that on your flight you can meet lots os people that you can like or dislike. Flying upper class, you can escape the people you could dislike, creating more space for you, the costumer.
the poeple in this ad are dancing and happy and are doing things that lovers just do just till he wakes up and sees that a big obese man.
these actions are a consequence of that he first is sleeping and secondly because he-s on a long way travel. :)

LANGUAGE:

The slogan is: "Fly Virgin Atlantic upper class and get your own flat bed suite", but the words which really catch your attention are "If you wanted to sleep with him, you would have married him".
The language has only an important role at the end, when it explains that the man was dreaming.
